Dilia Meijboom
owner & inspirer
Until her 18th, everything was about horses for Dilia. Then life took over and it was not until 35 years later that she picked up horse riding again and re-discovered her passion. She wanted to grow and develop herself; for that she was told “buy a horse and make mileage”, so she did.
In Spain – where she lives half of the year – she found the lovely stables and a good master in Jose Carlos Castillo and his former Grand Prix horse Fabeltanz. When Jose Carlos told her he was selling the stables, she made the big jump and decided to go for it. Creating, entrepreneurship, her passion and love for horses combined; a dream come true.
Elske van Reeuwijk
stable manager
Elske grew up in the Netherlands, where she fell in love with horses at the age of 6. At 18 years old she bought her first Andalusian horse. This gave her the inspiration for Classical Dressage and Natural Horsemanship. She has practised extensively in both fields. She has competed with several horses in dressage. In addition to her life with horses she studied economics and agribusiness, specialising in horse and sport and received her Bachelor’s degree. At the age of 29 Elske decided to move to Spain, thus following her heart for the Spanish horse – as well as the culture and the great climate. She worked and trained for several stables. All in all she has 30 years of experience and knowledge of horses. In 2019 Elske joined the Cuadra team.
Gonzalo
groom
Gonzalo takes care of the day to day business of the horses and the yard. He grew up around horses, loves them and has an eye for them; he is hands on with what needs to be done for them. You can recognize Gonzalo quickly as his voice is rather loud!
